Ecostrong - Production Process


The age and size of the bamboo are very important at this stage. In order for bamboo flooring to be stable, the strips must be rectangular and flat on each side. ecostrong uses large mature bamboo to ensure a perfectly rectangular strip can be formed from the split bamboo: Later, when the strips are formed into floorboards, the rectangular strips will bond firmly into solid boards.

	Some manufacturers save money by using immature bamboo. This results in the split piece of the stalk being slightly smaller than the required size. Thus when the strip is formed, it is not a perfectly rectangle. The irregularly shaped strips will not form a firm bond when made into boards and eventually the flooring will come apart.
